Scent, not keyword soup
Every saved posting gets a scent score against your master profile: title, skills, seniority, location, visa. The strongest smells rise to the top with the reasons spelled out.
Huntgry is a local-first desktop app that sniffs out the jobs that fit you, tailors a resume with Claude, Codex or Antigravity, and fills the application in its own browser. Nothing leaves your Mac.
The whole hunt, one den
Every step a job hunt actually has, in one local app, with an agent that only ever works from facts in your master profile.
Every saved posting gets a scent score against your master profile: title, skills, seniority, location, visa. The strongest smells rise to the top with the reasons spelled out.
Paste a link into To do. Press Tailor. The card walks through Tailoring, Review and Ready to apply on its own.
Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity run the same resume-tailor skill on your Mac. Pick a default, switch per job, fall back when one hits its limit.
The agent may reframe, never invent. Every reframing stops for your word, or in unattended mode lands on the Review page until you approve it.
Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday forms are filled in Huntgry's sandboxed browser with the tailored PDF attached. The Submit button stays yours.
Queue 100 jobs. Huntgry runs them a few at a time, waits out usage limits or switches agents, keeps the Mac awake, retries stalls and stops on your budget.
Roles, projects, education and skills, each skill backed by evidence and years. Saved jobs overlay what they ask for, so gaps show up before a recruiter sees them.
How it works
01
Import a resume once. master-profile.md is plain Markdown you can edit anywhere; it is the only store.
02
Paste posting links or descriptions. Each one gets a scent score and the reasons behind it.
03
Claude, Codex or Antigravity run the resume-tailor skill, stop for your approval, and build resume.pdf + cover.pdf with pdflatex.
04
Huntgry opens the form in its own browser, fills it from your profile and attaches the PDFs. You press Submit.
Local-first
There is no Huntgry server. The app talks to your agent CLI, your files and the job sites you open. That is the whole list.
Every application lands as role/company/job-id/ with the job description, the PDFs and a small tracking file. Delete the folder, it is gone.
Screening and EEO answers you asked Apply to remember are kept outside the workspace and never sent to the model.
Review decisions and standing approvals live with the app's data, where the agent that writes the workspace cannot reach.

Questions
No. It fills the form in its own sandboxed browser and attaches the PDFs. Custom questions, dropdowns, consent and demographic questions are always yours, and the Submit button is never pressed by the app.
Any one of Claude Code, Codex or Antigravity, installed and signed in with the plan you already have. Huntgry runs that CLI on your Mac, so there is no Huntgry account and no extra API key.
Huntgry itself is free and open source under the MIT License. Tailoring runs on your own agent subscription; nothing is billed by Huntgry.
No. Agents only edit through Huntgry’s facts-only tools, which draw on your master profile, so they can reframe what is there but never invent a role, number or skill. Every reframing waits for your approval.
Not yet. Huntgry is macOS-first (macOS 14+) and there are no Windows or Linux builds today; the code is open if you want to help.
Free and open source. macOS 14+, Node 22+, and the agent CLI you already pay for.
